Himali's Uttarakhand

13 districts. Many traditions. One shared home.

Himali — our little mountain ambassador — guides you through the culture, dress traditions, and YFH's work across all 13 districts of Uttarakhand.

Field story

Mountain grain, biodegradable plates, and a pledge against plastic

On 16 November 2025, YFH organised a bhandara at Badrinath — serving mandua puri and jhangora kheer on biodegradable plates to pilgrims, alongside cleanliness activities and the Zero-Plastic Himalayan Pledge. A small act of cultural pride and environmental responsibility at one of India's most sacred sites.
